Welcome to the Haverford Band and Orchestra Parents (BOPs) Website!
Here you will find information and special announcements related to the
activities of your student in Haverford’s fabulous music programs.
If you have not already done so, please sign up for our email
BOPs Blasts.
BOPs is a parent-run organization that supports the music education
program in the Haverford School District. Established in 1929, our
original mission was to purchase uniforms for the band, orchestra, and
color-guard. Over the years, BOPs has added other essential duties
to support music education, including but not limited to: fundraising
for the replacement and maintenance of uniforms and instruments;
chaperoning and bus transportation; planning bi-annual trips (Virginia
Beach will be in Spring 2024!); planning meaningful ways to celebrate
our graduating senior members; funding a small scholarship program for
graduating musicians; and keeping parents, administrators and the
community at large informed of events, meetings, concerts, and
activities.
Annual BOPs Registration
Registration is required for all students who
participate in the HMS and HHS Band and Orchestra programs. The
Registration fees collected by BOPs subsidize the costs of these
programs that are not covered by the School District.
We also send weekly emails to the BOPs community so that you are
aware of upcoming events and deadlines.
In order to support our students and make sure you have the information
you need, please see below:

- Printing this pdf form. Bring completed form to uniform
fittings or drop it in the BOPs mailbox in the high school band
room.
Payment for the 2022-23 Registration Fee is submitted separately by
following these instructions:
- Check made payable to: "Haverford BOPS"
- Paypal account - treasurer@hhsmusic.org
- Trip Account - email tripaccounts@hhsmusic.org
to transfer funds

2022-23 Monthly BOPs Meetings
If you have a child that is in the HMS or HHS Band or Orchestra, you
are part of BOPs! Everyone is invited to attend BOPs
meetings. Meeting information is announced in the weekly BOPs
email blast and is on the BOPs Calendar.
Our next meeting will be on October 11th at 7:30 PM in the HHS Band
Room. Please join us!

2022-23 BOPs Board position - Music
students need you!
It takes a team to pull off all the amazing events for the student's in
our music programs. We have many ways
for members to be involved depending on your interests and
availability. Opportunities are announced in the weekly BOPs email or
you can reach out to us at: president@hhsmusic.org
if you are interested.

Volunteering & Clearances
If you plan to volunteer – and we hope you do – please
read the requirements of the clearance process on the
school district's website. Please
note:
- If you have lived in Pennsylvania continuously for the last 10
years, FBI fingerprinting is not necessary. A residency affidavit
may be submitted in lieu of the FBI check.
- Clearances are now valid for 5 years.
